I wish I wasn’t so far behind the times – at least when it comes to crafting. With two businesses, two kids and a house full of projects that need to be completed, for some reason I have little time to keep up on the latest crafting trends and projects. So, you will have to forgive the fact that I’m a little behind on this product – blackboard fabric!
For reasons mentioned above, I have NOT tried using this fabric for anything just yet, but I love the concept. Chalkboard paint has been around for years, but only works on much stiffer surfaces (ie, walls). But, look at some of the cool things you can do with chalkboard fabric!
This table runner from the Celebrations at Home Blog is a great way to let your guests know what’s on your buffet table. It would also be a great way to make personalized placemats for a more casual meal.
I love this pillow idea from Merriment Design:
And, last but certainly not least, I love this map created by Stephanie Lynn at Under the Table and Dreaming:
Apparently, you can get chalkboard fabric at many places now, including Amazon. Who knew? I may just have to make some time to try some of these great ideas on my own home…
