Color Inspiration: Hibiscus

Color Inspiration: Hibiscus

Since spring has yet to make an appearance here in Wisconsin, I decided to take things into my own hands with some more spring color inspiration.  At least SOMETHING is blooming – even if it’s in my kitchen….

Despite the fact that we have more snow on the way at the end of the week (seriously.), this photo of my blooming hibiscus brings a little sunshine to another cold day.  And, it could serve as the inspiration for an entire room!

Check out some of the fabrics in this same color palette that I found on the Greenhouse Design website.  These could be used on their own or in combination to create a group of coordinated window treatments, decorative pillows, bedding, upholstered furniture, artwork – the sky’s the limit!

Mix these bold hues and patterns with a bit of subdued ivory, yellow, gray, green or tan and you have the foundation for a look that is uniquely you…and one that will brighten your day no matter how dreary it is outside.
