So many homes today feature fantastic windows – tall, arched or angled. However, all that gorgeous glass often needs a finishing touch, and today’s shaped windows can make designing window treatments a challenge.
This small home office features a wall of windows that step down from the center panel. They accentuate the ceiling height in the room, and let in tons of light to this north-facing space. However, coming up with a window treatment that would highlight this unique feature in the room was not easy.
Here is what I came up with…simple…..elegant….and not horribly expensive.
This valance used a minimum amount of fabric, which kept the costs down. Essentially, these were constructed like oversized placemats with the floral fabric on one side and a coordinating tone-on-tone stripe on the other. Velcro tabs on top of the metal rod keep the panels in place.
If you have Before and After photos from a challenging window treatment you created, please send them to submissions@alittledesignhelp.com…I would love to feature your creativity!
