A Little Design Help was created as a free resource to assist you with your DIY, home decorating and design projects. I create content that I believe will bring out the designer in you! Sometimes, the creation of that content may be done by a hand-picked guest author.
In order to cover the costs of the site and keep it running smoothly, I have developed affiliate advertising relationships with several online suppliers of design and decor products. I receive a commission from these affiliate partners every time a reader clicks on the ad and makes a purchase from the affiliate website. This does not cost my readers any extra, but it does help to offset the costs of running A Little Design Help. Plus, my kids eat a lot and the money comes in handy. 🙂
I also have advertisements posted on my site. The advertisements are posted through ad networks, and I would receive compensation when readers view or click the ads, or shop on their sites.
If you prefer not to support A Little Design Help in this way, you are always welcome to search each site on your own. However, if you enjoy the information you find here, I encourage you to check out the advertisers on my site by clicking on their links and checking out what they have to offer, as this is how I am compensated for my time.
I will post a disclosure statement on any blog posts or articles that contain links that will result in direct compensation for my site. This disclosure statement may not appear on posts where your direct click on the link will not result in direct compensation for my site; however, using these links may result in a commission for A Little Design Help if you make a purchase from the affiliate site later on.
A Little Design Help does not accept compensation in return for editorial coverage or paid posts of any kind. However, I am open to receiving free samples or products in exchange for an honest review of that product on my site. I want you, my readers, to know that I will never – EVER – post an opinion about a product or service that is not my own, whether I received the product free or not. A Little Design Help is designed to be a trusted resource of design and product information, and all opinions on products are my honest opinions.
A Little Design Help is an interior design resource for everyday people. In order to get those creative juices flowing for everyone, I am always looking for great design ideas from you, my readers. If you have Before & After photos, DIY Project tutorials or photos, or other design ideas to share with your fellow readers, please send them to email@example.com. Please keep photos 500k in size or smaller. Please keep in mind that I reserve the right NOT to post photos or projects that don’t fit the mission of A Little Design Help.
If you wish to submit an article or project, please include the following information:
- The article or project description attached to the email in a Word document.
- Any accompanying photos, size 500k or smaller, attached to the email in .jpg form. I cannot accept photos inside the Word document.
- Links to photos and credits for all photos. All photos must be either your own property or available for use through the appropriate creative commons license. I cannot accept photos under copyright by another person or company.
- A short author biography to include with your article or project. My readers and I want to know a bit about your expertise or project experience.
If you do not include all information, your article will not be considered for publication; I receive so many articles, it would be impossible for me to track down the needed information for every submission. Thanks for your help in making my job a bit easier.
Additionally, please allow up to a month for possible publication. I have limited time to review articles and submitted projects, and I often cannot review them within just a day or two. If you have a deadline for review, or have submitted it to other sites, please let me know in your initial email.
I use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit A Little Design Help. These companies may use information (not including your name, address email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, click here.
